New Moon – Open to New Ideas

New beginnings, new moon, spring in 6 days – life is good. This is the time to start that project you’ve been thinking about over the last two weeks – since the Full Moon. This is a time when the Universe will support you. Actually, the Universe will support you, whatever you decide to do and whenever you decide to do it.

The Universe does NOT force circumstances on you. You just have to decide what it is you want to accomplish, what you want in your life and set back and watch it happen.

The Universe will also ignore you, if you have no intentions, no plans, no thoughts as to how you can improve your life – so you can help others. You will just be able to flit along, not doing anything, not being joyous, enthusiastic and grateful. I think being joyous, enthusiastic and grateful is better. Do some planning. Get that journal out that you always thought was cool – fill it up. Put nonsense in it if you can’t think of anything else. Draw pictures. Plan a trip. Tell the Universe you want a hot sexy man. Do something.

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. Henry David Thoreau

It is time to start thinking about what you want life to look like 6 months from now, a year from now. Where do you want to be? What do you want to be doing? Are you exhausted from working remote for 16 hours a day? Or are you out of work since the lockdown? Can you find a way to bring happiness, productivity, enthusiasm, love for life – back? I hope so.

This is the strangest period I have lived through in 69 years on this planet. But yet – it may also be the best time I’ve lived through. I thank God every day that I am not 40, raising two kids, trying to pay a mortgage with a laid off spouse. I cannot imagine the fear, the stress, the absolute despair and the hopelessness people have been facing for the last year. It breaks my heart.

Now we have an opportunity to start over. It’s been a year since we got locked in our homes. A year since we heard “The sky is falling, the sky is falling.” A year since we watched people start dying and quit going to the hospital for any reason other than this virus. It’s been a year of not eating out, wearing that damn mask everywhere you go (I hate that thing and I’m vaccinated so I’m taking it off and if I get arrested, fined or yelled at – I will flip out my vackie card and tell them to fuck off).

Rudolf Steiner, probably the most spiritually intelligent human being to live on this planet, had this to say about the New Moon.

The New Moon, through all the cosmic relationships in which it stands, cannot reveal itself directly. We must now, however, imagine that in its influence the Moon is absent when it does not reveal itself as an outward phenomenon. At the times when through the whole world-relationships we become conscious of the appearance of the New Moon — at these times the Moon is present invisibly and for this very reason is present in a more spiritual way than when it appears to us in the physical light as the Full Moon. Thus the Moon is present, now in a fully physical way and now again in a fully spiritual way. We have indeed the perpetual rhythmic alternation between the physical manifestation and the spiritual manifestation of the Moon. Rudolf Steiner

Ah. The New Moon illuminates our spirit! That lovely, invisible Moon, in the sign of Pisces, gives us not only the ability to start again, it also gives us the compassion, love and emotional strength to do it. Namaste, Jennifer
