Ridding the World of Evil

Where DOES evil come from? You can’t look anywhere in our society today and not feel the palpable, boiling, nasty, disgusting, horrendous, obnoxious EVIL that has overtaken it. When did human decency disappear? Why?

I spend most of my time ignoring this world-confusion. I see it as an optical illusion, a chimera, not at all reality. It’s just a confusion created by unevolved people, people who cannot get out of their minds and whose minds are busy hating. The only way this much evil can be created is if hate has triumphed over compassion.

One of the most impressive thinker I’ve read in my life, and I have read extensively, is Edgar Cayce.

Edgar Cayce (/ˈks/; 18 March 1877 – 3 January 1945) was an American clairvoyant who claimed, uniquely, to channel his own higher self.[1] Cayce’s channeling sessions happened in a trance state that he would induce with help from his friend Al Layne or his wife until later in life, when he became accustomed enough to do so on his own. During these sessions, Cayce would answer questions on subjects as varied as healingreincarnationdreams, the afterlifepast-lifenutritionAtlantis and future events. As a devout Christian and Sunday school teacher, his channelling claims were a source of trouble for him because channelling was typically criticized by practitioners of his faith as being demonic. Cayce, in contrast, believed that it was his subconscious mind exploring the dream realm, where he believed minds were timelessly connected. Cayce founded a nonprofit organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment,[2] to store and facilitate the study of his channelings, as well as run a hospital. A biographer gave him the nickname The Sleeping Prophet.[3]

Edgar was a force with whom to be reckoned. He was such a fascinating soul that people from all walks of life minded what he had to say. There is a wonderful biography about him, entitled There is a River by Joseph Sugrue which is well worth reading to learn more about this miraculous soul.

Something Cayce said has stuck in my mind. “We all create our own reality by what we think.” Doesn’t that ring of pure truth? Can you see how your thoughts have created you? Who you are, how you live, all coming, not from some temporal or spiritual source, but from YOU? I see it in myself. I see how I create conflict in my life with my sometimes obsessive thought patterns. It’s insidious. There is no need for this. We need to evolve past creating trauma, evil, dissatisfaction into creating a paradise life on earth.

“What one thinks continually, they become; what one cherishes in their heart and mind they make a part of the pulsation of their heart, through their own blood cells, and build in their own physical, that which its spirit and soul must feed upon, and that with which it will be possessed, when it passes into the realm for which the other experiences of what it has gained here in the physical plane, must be used.”
― Edgar Cayce

Evil. Where does it arise? There is so much of it now, in America, a place that I thought was a courageous, loving and kind country. A country that would allow its citizens the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not any longer does our country foster these ideals. Instead we are told we must hate ourselves, white people are evil, all black people are inherently good or if they are not, white people made them bad.

Everyone is pointing fingers at someone else. You’re not allowed to speak your mind anymore. This country was founded because another group of people wanted to control us. They wanted our money, our allegiance and they wanted us to shut up about it. We revolted.

Those of us who strive to live a paradisical life are bombarded daily with national news. Someone is killed here, someone is killed there, a mother butchers her three children, a child kills his family, arguments are settled between teenagers with knives, where a 13-year-old can kill another 13-year-old ………………. you know, on and on.

In a society such as ours now, where “love one another as you would love yourself” is a thing of the past, where “do unto others before they do unto you” is the norm, we are going to implode if we do not stop it.

We can’t go on much longer in a country where half of us hate the other half. Where common decency is laughed at. Where the ones who end up in the news profess hateful things about others. Where one political party, in cohort with weaponized social media strives only to silence and eliminate people who don’t agree with them.

And yes, thoughts are things. You’re creating your life people. Why are you creating trauma, evil and hate? Can’t you see what you’re doing? Get out of that hell hole of your mind – try to cleanse your thoughts. Anger gets you nowhere. You’re about to find that out. God won’t take this much longer before he intervenes. Be warned.
